All-Ireland SFC final
Kerry 0-20 Galway 0-16, Croke Park FT

17:18

That's all from me for today. Thanks for reading the Match Tracker on the day that Kerry extended their lead at the top of the All-Ireland SFC Roll of Honour.

17:17

The fact that Galway were outscored by eight points to two in the final quarter is telling. The losers were superb up to that point and had huge performances from Shane Walsh and Cillian McDaid, but it wasn't to be their day.

17:15

The sides were level with three minutes remaining but Kerry reeled off four unanswered points when it mattered most to recapture the biggest prize in gaelic football.

17:13

This is Jack O'Connor's third spell as Kerry manager and he holds the incredible record of having won Sam at the first attempt on all three occasions. David Clifford was his star man today. Killian Spillane made a big impression off the bench. Graham O'Sullivan and Paudie Clifford both grew into the match in the second half.

All-Ireland SFC final full time: Kerry 0-20 Galway 0-16

Kerry are All-Ireland champions for the 38th time and first since 2014! Galway matched them for more than 50 minutes but the Kingdom were the stronger team on the home straight and are deserving winners.

17:07

All-Ireland SFC final: Kerry 0-20 Galway 0-16

Gleeson tears out off his line again and gives away another free, which O'Shea was never going to miss. Kerry are home and hosed now.

17:06

All-Ireland SFC final: Kerry 0-19 Galway 0-16

Open goal for the Kingdom deep in added time but White is happy enough to fist a point with two men screaming for a pass inside him. That should be that, though!

17:04

Walsh pulls a really difficult free to the left and wide on 71 minutes. Kerry by two - can they hold on?

17:03

All-Ireland SFC final: Kerry 0-18 Galway 0-16

Killian Spillane runs in along the end-line and fists over a point from the tightest of angles. There will be five minutes of injury time at the end of this engrossing All-Ireland final.

17:01

So close from McDaid but this time his shot drops inches to the left of the upright and wide. Two minutes left plus injury time...

17:00

All-Ireland SFC final: Kerry 0-17 Galway 0-16

Free-in to Kerry as Daly is adjudged to have held the arm of Spillane when in possession and David Clifford strokes it over wonderfully from an acute angle.

16:58

Level!

McDaid is back in the action and he kicks the equaliser. That score resulted from great fielding by Comer out in the middle of the pitch.

16:57

All-Ireland SFC final: Kerry 0-16 Galway 0-15

White catches McDaid with a powerful shoulder. A free is awarded and Walsh obliges in style - his team's first point in over 16 minutes!

16:53

There's a real air of inevitability about proceedings in Croke Park at the moment. Hawk-Eye says O'Sullivan's shot was wide but Kerry are very much on top with an hour played.

16:51

Cathal Sweeney replaces Conroy for Galway as a Heaney delivery sails over Comer's head and out for a wide. The Tribesmen have gone off the boil at a crucial time.

16:50

All-Ireland SFC final: Kerry 0-16 Galway 0-14

Paudie Clifford off the left. He was afforded far too much space there. Kerry have landed the last four points and lead by two for the first time, somewhat ominously. Fourteen minutes remaining.

16:48

Wide!

McDaid fires a shot left and wide, when Galway had a number of overlaps. At the other end. O'Brien drops a tame effort short into Gleeson's arms.

16:46

All-Ireland SFC final: Kerry 0-15 Galway 0-14

Corner back Graham O'Sullivan has been influential since the action resumed and he has nailed the latest equaliser. Contact on Paudie Clifford results in a free, which David Clifford nails from the hands off his left.

16:43

All-Ireland SFC final: Kerry 0-13 Galway 0-14

Gleeson comes off his line recklessly and pulls Killian Spillane down. O'Shea taps over the free from close range. That foul was close to black-card territory...

16:41

Wonderful response by Galway to going behind for the first time...
