Series amount of negativity on here, the reality is there is a serious gap between the top 2-4 teams in the county and the rest. And them teams have to close that gap some way. What are they meant to do, play open expansive football and get beat by 20 points. Is that exciting, a team getting hammered. Do I like the old days where it was every team went man v man, yes of course I do. But teams years ago were a lot more even. Killybegs, glen, ardara, four masters, ballyshannon and several others. My main problem is the coaching around the county, guys who never kicked a ball thinking they are mourino because they have a coaching badge. Coaching teams to death about possession, possession, possession. I was down at the Naomh Conaill game and had a discussion, and we realised that no one takes on a man anymore, for fear of losing possession and get roared at. If we want to fix the problem, we need to start with changing what these coaching courses are teaching. Never mind structure of competitions. But all football was not great years ago either and there was plenty of poor games also.
