Galway fans travelling to Croke Park for the All-Ireland SHC semi-final are facing traffic delays after a multi-vehicle crash on the N4 road into Dublin.

The crash occurred shortly after midway, just as thousands of Galway supporters were making their way into the capital for the big game against Tipperary. Emergency services attended the scene on the N4 Lucan Road inbound at Liffey Valley (Junction 2).

AA Roadwatch said that traffic was slow inbound as far back as Newcastle (Junction 4) to the Liffey Valley exit.
